Hello Kitty Sewing Machines

I don't sew. Not that I don't want to sew, but I seem to be missing that elusive "sewing gene". I barely passed my sewing class in home economics and whenever I try to attempt to mend anything it either falls apart immediately or I half stab myself to death trying to thread the needle. Anyway, enough about me. I came across this snazzy little number from Target which has some decent reviews. Here's the technical jargon from the website:
• Adorable compact sewing machine—perfect for Hello Kitty fans—with 6 built-in stitches plus buttonhole
• Features reverse stitch for reinforcing seams, easy lay-in threading system and 4-point feed-dog system to keep fabric feeding straight
• Has a free-arm design for sewing hard-to-reach areas, a handle for simple moving from room to room and a snap-on foot system
• Made of high-impact ABS resin; UL listed
• 10Hx5.62Wx12.75L"
Whatever that means.
There's also this cheaper version described as ".. Great first sewing machine for budding dressmakers.." i.e. children or idiots like myself. Personally, I like the second one better. Less buttons.
